I am consistently on the lookout for successful media entrepreneurs to interview for my podcast, and I created this landing page to make it easier for you to pitch yourself for coming on the show.
Hey Simon, I'd be very interested in reading about a particular niche of YouTube creator: the kind that posts police bodycam footage. There are several such accounts, and I think they pretty much all monetize through ads. To me, it's interesting that a lot of the footage isn't necessarily stuff that made the local paper, or if it did, it was a 12 column-inch story. It's not high-profile killings; it's more (apparently somewhat routine) car chases, traffic stops, and low-intensity shootouts. I assume there's some systematic public records requesting going on, but maybe not?
Have you considered talking to ex-BI editor in chief Nich Carlson who recently launched Dynamo media? Or Andrew Callaghan from Channel 5 News (formerly all gas no brakes)?
